Size

Access
The single biggest factor. Open lawn near a driveway is one thing; the far corner of a back garden through a narrow side passage is another; a tight crawl space is another again.
Whether it has to be found first
“It is on the patio” and “somewhere under the floor, we think” are not the same request. Searching takes time.
How long it has been there
Condition affects handling and what is left behind. Warm weather moves that along quickly.
