Does the City of Hamilton remove a dead animal from my yard?
No. Ohio Revised Code 941.14 puts the duty on the owner of the premises that contain a dead animal, and no agency checked offers free pickup from private land. City, county and state crews deal with their own roads and property — a city street, a county road, or a state route such as I-75, Ohio 4 or US 127.
It is lying in the street outside my house. Who do I call?
The City of Hamilton for a city street, through its MyHamilton (311) service-request system. For a Butler County road it is the Butler County Engineer’s Office on (513) 867-5744. For an interstate or state route it is ODOT. Those are free and are not this site’s job.
